Hi, I am Erin Kieper and I am the founder of Luna’s Landing. The inspiration for Luna’s Landing came from years in the breast health industry as well as being the wife and daughter of two amazing men who are cancer survivors. My goal is to create fun products to raise money and promote awareness for nonprofit organizations focused on helping patients and their loved ones touched by cancer.

Cancer Lifeline and Young Survival Coalition are two such organizations. These groups work tirelessly on limited budgets to improve the lives of patients and their families while helping them focus on health and healing during treatment and beyond. Through financial assistance, counseling and a shoulder to lean on, they provide support during the challenging times and celebrate the milestones too. Luna’s Landing wants to help get the word out so these organizations are known by those needing help and those willing to give it. No one should go through this alone.

My husband was diagnosed in his early 20s with a rare form of cancer. Doug is an inspiration for beating the odds and has such a beautiful perspective on life. He is a member of a club he never wanted to join and through his odyssey he found his calling in nuclear medicine where his research group developed a technology to detect breast cancer and help save women’s lives. He has taught me so much about life and priorities. My Dad is also a 2x cancer survivor and has a great outlook on life and dealing with the challenges that come with cancer. These men are my heroes.

My hope is that every patient, family member and friend whose life is changed by cancer may know what these incredible groups have to offer. We continue to seek other organizations who share our passion and will keep our blog updated with what we find.
